We'll meet you in St. Thomas or Tortola where you will board Islander at noon and get acquainted with your luxury yacht and crew. After a briefing over lunch and drinks, we'll set sail for an island just a couple of hours away. The Virgin Islands are among the most beautiful and protected islands with the best sailing in the world!

You may either relax and enjoy letting the ship's autopilot steer the yacht or help sail the ship to its new anchorage. This is a private charter, not a 2,000-passenger cruise ship, so the choice is up to you! Adventure and freedom are the hallmarks of a private yacht charter sailing vacation. Perhaps you would like to learn how to sail. If you're thinking of bareboat chartering on your own, you can earn a certificate of competence and a letter of recommendation aboard Islander. Most bareboat charter companies would need a reference before they charter a bareboat. After a week anchoring, mooring and navigating, you'll be ready to skipper your own charter boat next time around. Perhaps you're thinking of buying your own boat and learning the ropes? Well, then you came on the right sailing vacation! Since Charlie is a marine surveyor, he can teach you yacht maintenance, advise you on the right boat for you and steer you on your way to a successful purchase.

Landfall may be in the afternoon where we'll anchor in a sheltered cove in view of a white-sand beach in crystal-clear waters. We can anchor in beautiful, exotic anchorages where the captain of a cruise ship would only go in his dreams. A swim or snorkeling in warm, crystal-clear water is a great way to see the spectacular and colorful marine life. All itineraries are, of course, subject to weather.

Soon we're back at your floating hotel for happy hour. Next on the agenda could be a tour of all the electronic gadgets at the navigation station, a game of chess, or updating your journal. Admire a beautiful sunset while you sample the hors d'oeuvres and drink your ice-cold sun-downers as dinner is prepared for you.

A gourmet dinner aboard Islander will be one of the highlights of your fun-filled day. Conversation turns to the events of the day and the options for tomorrow while the sounds of guitar, calypso, or Jimmy Buffet are heard in the background. The yacht's oil lamps provide soft mellow lighting, complimenting the soft sounds of the sea. Quiet moments reading, a movie aboard, a romantic moon-lit walk on the beach or just sitting in the cockpit admiring thousands of stars after dinner... so many choices; so many beautiful experiences in your magical sailing vacation.
